Recognition is a key part of Amey’s culture; it ensures employees feel valued and recognised for the work they do.

Whether it’s for providing exceptional support or completing superb work; we want everyone at Amey to show appreciation for colleagues by celebrating their achievements and contributions.

The new a*stars recognition portal has been designed for this purpose

Eligibility


This scheme is open to all individuals employed directly by Amey (‘Company’) and are current employees who have not left the organisation (‘Employees’). It is operated and hosted by Motivates Inc Limited (“Motivates”).


Participation


To participate on the platform, Employees must:

  • Accept the Terms and Conditions of the Recognition Portal on first log-in to the recognition.amey.co.uk website; and
  • At all times remain an employee of Amey. Amey will suspend the account of any Employee who has left the Company but the individual will be able to utilise any points accrued up to the point at which they left the Company provided that (i) any outstanding points must have been redeemed against an award prior to leaving and (ii) any remaining points not by then redeemed will be forfeit.


It is the Employee’s responsibility to keep passwords and username details secret. Amey is not responsible for any loss suffered by Employees where such loss is attributed to a failure by an Employee to maintain account security.


Amey will, in its sole discretion, administer and define the value of points eligible to be distributed, with Amey Band D and above employees being authorised to approve the distribution of awarded points through individual and teams awards.

Use of Data


Personal data that you provide will be utilised only for the successful running of the Amey Recognition Portal and reporting.

Awarding of Points


Points will be awarded to employees once a nomination or request has been approved by the authorising individual.


Employees may opt to either:
i.    save points awarded for redemption at a later date; or
ii.   redeem some or all of the points awarded on a monthly basis for prizes through the Recognition portal [
recognition.amey.co.uk].

Points

Points must be redeemed via the website; with 1 point equalling £1.

Lifestyle and Experience rewards will be fulfilled by the relevant Employee’s direct arrangement with the Lifestyle or Experience reward supplier, in accordance with each individual supplier’s availability, lead-time and capability.

Delivery

The delivery of Experiences and Lifestyle and will be via an instant e-voucher to the email address as supplied by the user at the time of order.

All experience and Lifestyle vouchers are not returnable and non-refundable.


Other


Prizes and rewards may be considered a taxable benefit to the recipients. Amey may, in its sole discretion, decide to pay the tax liability and National Insurance contributions arising on behalf of any Employees. Where it does not, recipients will be informed and will be directly responsible for accounting for and paying to their local tax offices any tax liability and NI contributions arising on their prizes. Motivates will not account for any Social or National Insurance or tax liability arising from this platform.

Amey and Motivates will absolve themselves from any liability arising from any National Insurance Contributions arising from prize distribution.
No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this scheme or these Terms and Conditions. In the unlikely event of a dispute, Amey’s decision shall be final.  Amey and/or Motivates reserve the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw the platform, rules and/or points at any time without notice.

Neither Amey nor Motivates is responsible for the performance of any reward supplier linked to the Amey A*Star Recognition Portal and shall not be liable for any act or default by such person.  In accessing the Recognition portal [recognition.amey.co.uk], Employees agree that each of Amey and Motivates will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, costs, damage or disappointment of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of a prize, or from participation in the scheme.  Nothing in this clause shall limit any liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or arising out of fraud.


Each of Amey and Motivates reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the redemption programme.
